Ministry approves increased capacity for Carson Graham and Ridgeway Schools
February 16, 2010 Announcement
In a letter from the Ministry of Education on February 11, 2010 , the Honourable Dr. Margaret MacDiarmid confirmed approval of increased capacity for Carson Graham Secondary and Ridgeway Elementary.
Carson Graham Secondary has been approved for an increased capacity to a total of 1,100 student spaces. Ridgeway Elementary has been approved to a total of 400 elementary spaces, plus four Kindergarten classrooms.
Ridgeway Annex and Balmoral Junior Secondary will be closed once the rebuilding projects of Ridgeway Elementary and Carson Graham Secondary are complete. The increased capacity for both new schools accommodates the future student populations in their respective catchment areas.
