Vancouver Model UN Conference 2012

Wow, what a amazing weekend!  It's safe to say that all our Seycove delegates had a fantastic time and learned a lot about the art of diplomacy, negotiation, and compromise. What a treat to see Justin Trudeau in person...he was very impressive speaking to all 750 delegates and hopefully inspired some of our "Seycovers" to get involved in politics and social change. The highlight of the conference was right after the evening dance party social where the delegates were faced with a "midnight crisis". Delegates from all the committees met from midnight to 3:00am in the morning to work together to try and solve a fictitious world crisis (World War Three, oil embargoes and other such crises were adverted!). All 16 Seycove delegates represented our school with distinction and should be very proud of their contributions to the discussion during their committee sessions. I would personally like to recognize the leadership provided by Emily Luba, Zoe Luba and Jahaan Pittalwala that allowed the Seycove VMUN team to go into the conference so well prepared.  Until next year....
