Artists For Kids Studio Art Academy 10, 11 & 12 at Carson Graham Secondary

Students enrolled in an AFK Studio Art Academy course will develop performance skills and attitudes which will enable them to successfully enroll in a post-secondary institution of their choice upon graduation.  Through the development of a personal portfolio each year, students will gain increasing confidence in their abilities as artists.  In-depth exploration of drawing and painting, printmaking and sculpture will enable the creation of work for annual year-end exhibitions. Through studio/classroom work, visits to artists’ studios and post-secondary institutions, students will gain a better understanding of the role and commitment required to be a successful artist.  Exposure to a variety of instructors/artists each term will add richness to studio activities.
