The Deadline For The 2011-2012  Argyle Scholarship Applications is January 26, 2012.

Applications and Information for 2011-12 are below.

Please review the Information Booklet and the Scholarship Application and ensure you have all required information before proceeding to complete the form. The Application must be sent via email; in addition, a printed copy along with the Letter of Application and Photo must be submitted to the main office before the deadline (without envelope or cover folder please) which is before 3:30 pm Friday, January 26th, 2012. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Only one application per student will be accepted. If more than one copy is sent via email only the fist copy will be considered.  Awards available to Argyle students only:

In order to be eligible for Argyle awards, students must:

· Be enrolled in a minimum of 6 courses not including Graduation Transitions

· Be enrolled in Grade 12 for the first time

· Be eligible to graduate

· Be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant

· Preference will be given to students who have been in attendance at Argyle for the past two years

The availability and value of these awards may change between the printing of this newsletter and the presentation of the awards at the graduation ceremony in May. The Argyle Scholarship Committee (consisting of teachers, counsellors, and administrators) will determine the recipients of these awards based on information provided in the application. Each student will normally receive no more than one Argyle award, and it is not necessary to apply for each award separately, however you will be asked to indicate awards for which you are uniquely qualified.        


With the exception of the Dogwood District/Authority Awards each student will normally receive a maximum of one Argyle award. Please read the scholarship booklet carefully and indicate on your application any awards you feel you are uniquely qualified for. Contact Mr. Schutz if you have any questions oschutz@nvsd44.bc.ca

Tips For Success:

Start early! Begin working on the application in early December to allow enough time for writing a quality letter and editing.  Read all instrutions before starting your application and again before submitting.
Fill in the online PDF application, save it (do not scan) and email it following the instructions. Student and parent/guardian signatures are required on the letter confirming all information in the application is accurate.
