What are Early Learning Foundations Programs?

The hallmark of Early Learning Foundations Programs include high quality program delivery in a play-based environment. Research has shown that children in the early years learn best when there are structures in place that encourage them to learn through play, have social interactions with other children and have time to interact with the world around them.

To guide the delivery of ELF programs, the North Vancouver School District, in conjunction with Early Childhood Educators in the community have developed a set of guiding principles and practices for program delivery.
