Homework for grade 2 is limited. Each week we would like the children to work on Spelling and Reading.
Spelling- Every Monday students get a pre-test of about 15 words. Most of the words follow a pattern or rule. A few challenge words from topics we are working on will be added. Students should practice spelling the words they had trouble with for the test on Friday. During the week we complete exercises related to the words.
Reading- Students should be reading for at least 15 minutes every night. It's a good idea to read with your child or discuss the book he/she is reading. Don't forget children also love to be read to so we encourage you to continue reading to your child.
