We have now started our second Unit of Inquiry.  The central idea is "Matter exists in different states all around us."  For the summative project, students will have to choose a recipe and explain how solids and liquids interact.   As part of this unit Mad Science came in to present a workshop.  Here are the photos:

Here is a photo of Baby Luca, our Roots of Empathy baby.  We will be following his progress throughout the year.

These are pictures of the chick that hatched in our classroom. This was part of the life cycle section of our Unit of Inquiry on how animals grow and change in their environment.
