Structure:

-5 paragraph essay
-300-500 wds.
-Voice-academic = no “I’s”, we’s, or you’s. (the reader, one, the audience.)

-Parts of the lit. essay:
*Introduction-One paragraph
*Body-Three Paragraphs
*Conclusion.-One Paragraph

-Breakdown the parts of the essay.
*Introduction:
-Background(Bk)-Author, title, plus the general premise(idea or focus) of the essay.
-followed by the thesis-answers the topic.

*Body:

-Body(Introductory words #1-first argument(proof/point)

/Explanation : P.I.E.

-Body #2 – second argument (transition)

-Body #3 – third argument

*Conclusion: (Conclusion tag-Therefore, Finally, In the end, In conclusion,)
