NOVEL STUDY-CHAPTER ANALYSIS-TO BE TYPED.

INSTRUCTIONS: FOR EACH PART (THERE ARE THREE), COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING ANALYSIS

1. PLOT SUMMARY - DIVIDE EACH SECTION UP INTO FOUR MINI-CHAPTERS AND WRITE TWO PLOT EVENTS FOR EACH SECTION: TOTAL= 8 (10WD) SENTENCES.

2. CHARACTER SKETCH - 3-6 PHYSICAL AND/OR PERSONALITY TRAITS ON EACH CHARACTER.

3. CHARACTER QUOTATIONS - FIVE SIGNIFICANT QUOTES FROM EACH CHARACTER, PLUS A PAGE REFERENCE.

4. SETTING - ONE 25 WD. PARAGRPAH DESCRIBING TIME, PLACE, AND SPECIFIC LOCATION. ANY :CHANGE OF SETTING IN SUBSEQUENT SECTIONS SHOULD BE NOTED.

5. IRONIES – TWO DRAMATIC, TWO SITUATIONAL, AND TWO VERBAL IRONIES FULLY EXPLAINED. DOUBLE UP ON THE OTHERS IF YOU CAN’T FIND VERBAL IRONIES.

6. SYMBOLS - TWO CHARACTER,  TWO OBJECT, TWO COLOR, AND TWO EVENT SYMBOLS. SPECIFIC SUPPORT FORM TEXT IS REQUIRED TO EXPLAIN THE SYMBOL..

7. THEMES - THREE THEMES, 3-5 WDS EACH WITH A QUOTE AND PAGE REFERENCE AS PROOF.

8. Futuristic Devices -  List any technological devices in the section and write a brief explanation of how they work(3-5 wds).  If there aren't any, just write NONE.
