Mandate and Vision Statement
North Vancouver School District’s Green Team will build capacity amongst staff, parents and students to enable them to view themselves as the authors of their own environmentally sustainable future.
The above statement lies at the core of The Green Team’s mission. In particular, this will require a paradigm shift in the way stakeholders approach and enable student leadership in our school district. In collaboration with all stakeholders, we strive to:
- Develop suggestions for school and district based practices to attend to environmental concerns
- Make recommendations to the Board of Education that would create a paradigm shift in all stakeholders’ behaviors towards sustainable practices.
- Develop policy which will support school and district based Sustainable practices.
- Establish a unified vision on the part of all stakeholders with regards to environmental sustainability.
