Athlete in the Classroom Program (RBC)

Looking for an athlete to motivate and inspire your students? Here is a list of resources that will help bring an athlete into your classroom - either live or virtually.

RBC Olympians Program - The RBC Olympians program hires both Canadian Olympic and Paralympic athletes as community ambassadors who bring Olympic messages of excellence and leadership to Canadian communities. The athletes act as community ambassadors, sharing their past experiences and Olympic dreams with schools, community groups, RBC clients and employees. They also work to create awareness and support for amateur sport in Canada and inspire the next generation to be physically fit and participate in sports at any level.

Olympic Voice - The Canadian Olympic Committee offers a specialized resource for organizations to book appearances by Olympic athletes and Olympic hopefuls. Organizations interested in more information on booking an athlete appearance may contact Olympic Voice at 1-866-248-0186 (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday).

Paralympic Heroes - Are you looking for a speaker to connect with your audience and truly motivate the crowd? Someone who can educate your students or inspire your employees? Add some excitement to your event by having a Paralympic athlete in attendance…the Paralympic Heroes Program specializes in customizing athlete requests with your event specifications.

Please contact Kimberley McLachlan, Public Relations Coordinator, at
kim@paralympic.ca or (613) 569-4333 ext. 225 for further details about the program and fees involved. Or you can fill out an on-line Athlete Request and Quote Form.
