Eating Disorders - Just a reminder that we have a wonderful clinic on the North Shore called the “BE REAL” clinic for those that are known or suspected to have disordered eating. They are especially happy to see youth that are on the beginning spectrum of disordered eating to hopefully prevent full blown issues.
If you would like to know more about “BE REAL”, how to contact etc, please feel free to call me (604-418-7153) or the Youth on call nurse (at 604-983-6714)
Life-Threatening Allergies - a shared responsibility
This is just a reminder to parents that head lice is a common issue especially among school-age children but one that can affect anyone. It occurs in people of all ages, classes and races. Weekly head checks are recommended for all family members including teens, especially those who have siblings in elementary school where head lice is a very common problem. Head lice do not cause illness or transmit disease and are not a health hazard.
Please review the following Head Lice Fact Sheet and Treatment Options or contact 8.1.1 or Public Health Nurse at 604-983-6700 if you require further information.
