Squamish Language and Culture

A component of our curriculum has been the offering of Squamish Language classes for our First Nations students at Norgate.  Instruction is available at all levels and the children participate twice a week, depending of the age group.  This class is taught by a Squamish Language Teacher.  Students in the upper intermediate grades who so choose, will replace the French Language exposure classes with the Squamish Language classes.

Squamish Cultural programs are often available at Norgate.  In these classes Norgate students learn about the Squamish culture and heritage.
