At Montroyal, Students in grades 5 to 7 have the opportunity to participate in the Band program, and the strings program is open to all students in grades 4 through 7.  Both programs are taught by specialist teachers.  These programs are optional, and require fees which are standardized throughout the district of North Vancouver.  Rehearsal and class times are arranged by the individual Band & Strings teachers.  Several times throughout the year, these groups perform at concerts within the school and District.
