The world of Business is all around us.  Business Education offers students a chance to look at what is happening in today’s world.  Courses offered include:

Business Education Communication 10
This course is an introduction to efficient and effective internet use, word processing and simple desktop publishing.  Students will work towards improving their touch typing skills as well as speed building and accuracy.  Students will examine topics such as the use of social media, ethical internet use and various types of business communication.  Students will also become proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, video editing software and a number of online applications.

Business Education General 10
This course introduces students to the various areas of business.  Topics covered include investing, credit cards, social responsibility, advertising, marketing, and ethics.

Marketing 11
This course looks at the world of retail and consumerism around us.  Students look at current advertising examples and trends.  Students will also get to create new products in this class.

Marketing 12
This course looks at the unique marketing involved in the sports, entertainment, and hospitality fields.  Students will have the opportunity to create new products.

Accounting 11
This is an introductory course to accounting.  Students will be taught the Accounting Cycle and the GAAP principles that relate to it.  Business ethics, including examples of the worst offenders, are discussed in this class.

Financial Accounting 12
This course applies the concepts learned in Accounting 11 to analyze and solve accounting problems .
