A part of living on the North Shore close to forests and streams is the potential to encounter wild animals including bears and cougars.  Being aware and being informed on what to do in the event of an encounter with wild animals is important.  Having respect for our wild neighbours - no matter how fascinating or beautiful - keeps everyone safe.
