Long-Term Student Absences

A reminder to parents if you are taking your child(ren) out of school for an extended period of time please inform the school office and your child(ren)’s teacher of the specific dates/times.  When families go on vacation during school time, teachers are not expected to prepare materials in advance; however a holiday package is available here on the school website.  Teachers will set aside assignments that students have missed and parents are welcome to help their child(ren) catch up when they return.  Please remember that when students miss large units of study, they are still required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the curriculum taught during their absence. 

A “vacation work package” can be printed  here if you would like activities for your child(ren) to do while away.
