MORNING
All students are encouraged to arrive at school shortly before the 8:50 a.m. entry bell. Parents should be aware that there is no supervision of students on the playground prior to 8:40 a.m. before school. At bell time, the wing doors will be open. Please do not use the exterior classroom door to enter your classroom. For such activities as band, music or athletic practices prior to school, you will be informed as to which door to use.

RECESS
All students are encouraged to use the washrooms and then go outside unless it has been declared over the P.A. as an “Inside Day”. Supervision aides are in the outdoor play areas at this time.

LUNCH
Although it is preferable for students to go home for lunch, we recognize that many students will eat lunches at school. Students eat lunch in their own classrooms and good manners and responsible behaviour are expected. Students in all classes are supervised during this time and the Primary students also have the benefit of senior student supervision. Students are dismissed at 12:15 p.m. if they have completed their lunch, the classroom is clean, and appropriate behaviour is in evidence. Students who require more time for lunch are allowed to stay to finish until 12:30 p.m. After finishing their lunch students must go outside unless it has been declared an “Inside Day”. One adult supervisor is assigned outside on an “Indoor Day” and adult supervision is also provided indoors.

AFTER SCHOOL
All students are expected to go home promptly at 3:00 p.m. Some students may have to stay to finish classroom work they did not complete.The school provides no supervision of students after 3:00 p.m. unless at a school sponsored event.
