All schools in the North Vancouver School District will remain OPEN, if at all possible during winter weather, including snowfalls. Any district-wide closure will be decided by 6:30 a.m. at the latest. School closure information will be provided to the following radio and television stations: CBC 690 AM radio

Fairchild TV Individual school closures due to unique circumstances (e.g., power outages) will be announced as early as possible in the same manner. No announcement will be made saying that schools are open. Only closures will be announced. In the event of a district-wide closure, notice will be posted on our . The Carson Graham website will be updated when possible. Parents are encouraged to establish an emergency plan for their children in the event that schools are closed, start late, or dismiss early. Please prepare for inclement weather by dressing children appropriately. Reminders to stay a safe distance from the road and vehicle traffic are important for pedestrians.
Balmoral/Braemar Elementary Traffic Plan – Cooperation Required! To help facilitate the smooth flow of traffic during excessive snowfalls, all parents who drive their children to Balmoral and Braemar schools are asked to drive north along Mahon Ave. and exit west along Evergreen to Delbrook Ave. This one way flow of traffic will help minimize congestion and keep the streets safer for our students.
Drivers are asked to refrain from driving down the hill at Osborne in order to access Mahon Ave. Please do not enter the Carson Graham or Balmoral staff parking lot. |
