Students and parents should be aware of our exam policy. These include exam procedures, rules, and requirements for writing both provincial and school based exams. Carson Graham applies the provincial exam policies to the administration of both school based and provincial exams.
Information for Parents
Our preparation for the impending move into the new school requires us to pack up and vacate both of our existing campuses prior to the end of the school year on June 29, 2012. This factor coupled with the need to meet construction and demolition target dates has necessitated that we create a final exam schedule that is significantly different than in previous years. We have worked with our Assistant Superintendent and have shared this information, and our need to pursue this path, with parents at both the January and February CGPAC meetings.
A copy of our June Final Exam Schedule was sent out to parents via our SchoolConnects synervoice system on Friday, March 9, 2012. Please note that all School-Based Final Exams for Grades 8-12 will be conducted in classes during the final two weeks of school (May 31-June 14, 2012). Classroom instruction will, however, continue until the final regular day of classes on Thursday, June 14, 2012. Though we have worked to create a schedule that ensures a student has no more than one final exam on any given day there is a possibility of that happening for a small number of our Grade 11 and 12's. For our junior students - particulalry our Grade 8's and 9's - we have designed a schedule that will see them only having one exam per day during the exam schedule.
Provincial Exams
Please note that all of our Provincial Exams for our Grade 10, 11, and 12's will take place in the Gym at our North Campus starting on June 20, 2012. This applies to all students enrolled in:
• Apprenticeship & Workplace Math 10
• Foundations of Math 10
• English 10
• Social Studies 11
• Communications 12
• English 12
• First Nations Studies 12
from the Ministry of Education.
Provincial Exam Results
The Ministry of Education provides online access to student data through its student secure website -
From this ministry website students can obtain their provincial exam results, view their graduation credits and print unofficial transcripts of their grades.
In order for students to obtain their exam results they need to set-up an account. In order to do this students must know their Personal Education Number (PEN) number which can be found on their report card.
