2. Go to: Research

3. Click on the link that accesses the database from outside the library.

4. Choose the database you wish to use:
& EbscoHost: access to thousands of magazine and newspaper articles.
& EbscoHost's Novelist: your guide to fiction.
& CBCA: (Canadian Business & Current Affairs) reference and business databases.
& Canadian News Disc: access articles in major Canadian newspapers.
& Access Science@McGraw-Hill: provides access to 7100+ articles, 115,000 dictionary terms and
     hundreds of research updates.

5. Type in the access number from your North Vancouver District Public Library card.

6. Follow basic searching techniques using subjects and keywords.

1. Go to the North Vancouver City Library’s home page at: www.cnv.org/nvcl.

2. Click on Online Databases.

3. Choose the best data base for your search:
& Canadian Newstand: full text of major Canadian newspapers, current to the last seven days.
& CBCA: Canadian Business and Current Affairs.
& Electric Library Canada: broad coverage with a Canadian focus
& Encyclopedia of BC: info on BC’s past and present.
& Novelist: A source for novels and author information.

4. Click on Access Outside the Library: you will need to enter the 24 digit barcode on your library card.
