Welcome to our record of events! During the past several years,
Carson Graham has been involved with several First Nations affairs.
The events included everyone in the school and community to give staff,
students and parents an opportunity to experience and understand the First Nations culture.
Welcoming Figure at Westview
There will soon be a new totem pole at Westview Elementary School created by Carson Graham. It will show a carving of a child, with its hands raised in the air, as it will embrace the children where they can feel safe and protected. The totem pole will have its natural wooden colour, representing the Coast Salish of the First Nations. The blessing ceremony of the welcoming figure will be held in September 2007.
