Under the guidance of coach Ian McDonald, many elite wrestlers have got their start at Balmoral. Balmoral has produced numerous provincial and even Canadian wrestling champions. |

• 2010 - defeated Olympic Gold medalist Carol Hyun in the Hargobind International Tournament • 2003 silver medal - Pan American Junior Championships • 2004 gold medal - Pan American Junior Championships • 2004 B.C. High School Champion (47 kg) Voted Outstanding Female Wrestler for the Tournament • 2004 Canadian Junior Champion (44 kg) • 2008 Canadian University Champion
Although Ashley attended Argyle for her senior secondary years she continued to train at Balmoral with coach McDonald. |

Rugby has a very strong history at Balmoral. Over the years coaches Harold Heer, Ian McDonald, Bruce Bourdon and Troy Burtt have produced many championship teams and individual rugby stars. Balmoral is by far the most successful school in Grade 8, 9 and 10 rugby in North Shore and Vancouver and District history. Sean Millington Football |
• Millington attended Balmoral in 1981-1984. He played four years of NAIA ball for Simon Fraser University before being drafted first overall by the Eskimos in the 1990 College Draft. • He started his career with the Leos in 1991 and was a team fixture until 1997, when he drifted over to Winnipeg as a free agent. He was reacquired by the Lions in 2000. |
