Jingle Walk on Dec 11 and 14
Dear Parents,
Traditionally, at this time of year, the classes at have collected non-perishable food items for the Harvest House.
This year all classes will be participating in the Jingle Bell Walk. Each class has been assigned a route around our neighbourhood. On Friday, December 11 all classes will be walking down their appointed streets and will drop off a “Doorknob” flyer to each house. The flyer asks our neighbours to help us collect food for the Harvest House by leaving non-perishable food items on their doorsteps on Monday December 14. On Monday, between 1:00pm and 2:30pm, classes will walk down their route again, jingling their bells, singing the Brooksbank Jingle Bell Walk song, and collect the food items.
v A permission form is not required, as we have signed “Walking Field trip forms”.
v Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the walk.
v Please ‘talk up’ this event with your neighbours and children. We are hoping to make an impact with our ‘Singing and Jingling’ to support the Harvest Project.
v We are hoping that students who have wrist bells or other small bells will bring them to school on Friday and Monday to help with the ‘Jingling’.
v Teachers will need parent volunteers to assist with this event. If you can help please return the tear off to the classroom teacher by Friday December 4th.
Thank you for your support.
