School Counsellor

The counsellor provides a variety of services to students, usually in areas of emotional, social and behavioural concern. A service may begin by student self-referral, parent referral, or staff referral. Parents will be involved when it appears desirable to provide this service beyond an informal initial contact. In addition to direct services to students, the counsellor serves as a resource person to teachers and parents who have concerns about their children.
