Boundary Recycle Program

Boundary parents are actively involved with a fundraising program in cooperation with Encorp Recycling “Return it to School” program.  It is aimed at educating elementary children and their communities on the importance of keeping returnable recycle containers out of BC’s landfills.  As a bonus the schools keep the funds from containers collected and has the opportunity to win up to $1000.00 for the top school in BC based on the number of containers brought in weighted against school size.  The second place school can win $ 500.00.  In the 2006 – 07 school year, Boundary placed second in the province.  Thanks to Sandy Kwasnycia who coordinated the program.

Recycling starts on Friday, Oct 2nd.  Please bring your returnable, recycling containers to the undercover area at the front of the school starting this Friday.  If possible, please rinse the container, take the lid off, keep the label on and flatten it.  Also, volunteers are always welcomed to sort bottles.  If you have a few minutes to spare on a Friday, please lend a hand - your help is appreciated!
