Student Absences
At École Boundary School, student safety is of the highest priority. Our office team needs to ensure that all students are accounted for as soon as possible, each day. If you child is going to be away from school, please use our “call back” line at 604-903-3264. Using the callback line frees up our main line for incoming and outgoing calls.

When phoning the “call back” line please include the following information: 
- Name of the absent child
- His/her teacher or division
- Reason for absence: If your child is sick, please let us know the symptoms so that we can track health trends without divulging the identity of the child.
- Indicate the length of the absence – one day or multiple days

This information will help our school team keep all of our students safe and healthy.

Sign In – Sign Out

Our school team carefully tracks the students who are in and out of the school. This detailed information is required to ensure the safety of our young people during an emergency. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in signing children in and out of school.

Our school sign in/out binder is located at the main office. Once students arrive at school, the school becomes responsible for their safety. Children may not leave the school grounds without permission from their parent(s) or without notifying the office. If a student goes home for lunch, or leaves the school for any other reason, such as an appointment or a family event, they must sign out at the office. Whenever a student comes to school late or returns after an appointment they must sign in.

Students who wish to go to each others’ homes at lunch require the written permission of both sets of parents.
