Jr.Field Hockey - North Shore Champions
Congratulations to the Jr. Field Hockey Team on winning the North Shore Championships for the 2009 season! View the banner in the main office. The girls played exceptionally well, played as a team and worked hard together all year long. Congratulations on an outstanding season! Click on the image for a pop-up slideshow.

Bantam Rugby - 2009-2010 Vancouver & District Champions

The Bantam Rugby Team captured the Vancouver & District Championships for 2009. Forwards and Backs shared in the workload and in the scoring, resulting in a very satisfying win. This is the 13th time that Balmoral has won the Bantam Vancouver & District Trophy. The next nearest school only has 3 wins. Well done boys and coaches.!!

Sr. Field Hockey - 2009-2010 North Shore Champions

Congratulations to players and coaches of the Sr. Field Hockey team. The team are winners of the UBC Tournament, the Bridgman Cup Tournament and are North Shore Champions! Balmoral students Bronwyn Walton and Sarah Mitchell play on the team as well as many former Balmoral grads.

Former Balmoral student athlete Shannon Samler was one of the favorites at 63kg in the last Olympic Trials. Shannon joins a fairly extensive list of former Balmoral students who have done extremely well athletically after starting out at our school. Some examples include Brett Hull in Hockey, Sean Millington, and Kurt Chapman in Football, Ron Johnstone in Rugby, and Jim Miller again in Wrestling. The point of all this is that if you are ambitious and and dedicated to doing well, anything is possible. From our little school under the mountain, literally can it be repeated, from tiny acorns do mighty oak trees grow.
Take a look at some our former athletes, our past year photos, or visit the team pages for more pictures.
