Site Security
is the final aspect of the Safe and Caring Schools initiative. Site Security, as would be expected, concerns the security of a school's buildings and grounds. Schools can enhance security by:
- consistently displaying staff identity cards
- maintaining good supervision
- requiring all strangers to report directly to the office
- establishing a school-based safety team
- ensuring school-wide communication systems are functioning
