RATIONALE for Curriculum

Transition Planning 12 addresses important aspects of the Ministry of Education’s Graduation Program (2004). The main goal is to support all students in acquiring attributes in the areas of intellectual, social and career development. This course is designed to have students focus on themselves with the purpose of continued self-discovery and in preparation to transition to life after secondary school. Students will begin to understand that their Grade 12 year is a year that bridges the transition. Through continued personal, intellectual and career development students will feel ready and prepared to leave high school with confidence. It consists for four units including: Transitioning from Secondary School, Social Responsibility, Personal Health & Responsibility and Presentation Skills.
