  HOW TO REGISTER 

ADULT LITERACY FOUNDATION PROGRAM 

1. All Adult Literacy Foundation programs require ONE of the following:

                       ·        results from an English skills assessment (you may 
                                register at the Continuing Education office by calling
                                604-903-3333).  There is a $ 40.00 non-refundable
                                fee for the assessment.   
     
                          ·         the written recommendation from a teacher (or report
                                card) of a previously taken Literacy Foundations Course.

2. Complete and submit a registration form:

                                  ·         forms can be downloaded from:  (click on link above)
                                       or picked up from 

                                    Lucas Centre, 2132 Hamilton Ave. N.V.

                                 ·         completed registration forms can be brought in person
                                        to the Lucas Centre along with payment for the $ 100
                                        textbook deposit where required.

 REGISTRATION NOTES

                               <   Accepted forms of payment for book deposits include
                                        VISA, MASTERCARD, INTERAC, or CASH

                               <   There will be NO ONLINE REGISTRATION

                               <   NEW STUDENTS must provide the following 
                                     2 pieces of ID with their registration form:

                                             -          proof of citizenship – birth certificate,
                                                   passport or permanent resident card

   -          proof of residence – e.g. BC Driver’s
   licence with current address; utility bill,
   or Rental Agreement
