The North Vancouver School District provides a comprehensive educational program to meet the diverse needs of students. In addition to the required program defined by the Ministry of Education, the School District has a rich array of specialty programs and services offered on a district basis.
Elementary Schools: regular educational programs and services are offered in all elementary schools throughout the school district. With the exception of Ridgeway Annex (K to Grade 2) all elementary schools operate a K – 7 program.
A district Early French Immersion program is offered in six locations (Braemar, Cleveland, Dorothy Lynas, Larson, Ross Road and Sherwood Park) and a Late Immersion program is offered at Braemar Elementary School.
Secondary Schools: comprehensive educational programs and services are offered in all secondary schools throughout the school district. With the exception of Balmoral Junior Secondary (Grades 8 through 10), all secondary schools provide programs for students for Grades 8 through 12.
Students in the district’s early French Immersion program progress from elementary to secondary with the district’s secondary French Immersion Centres established at Argyle and Handsworth.
