ELIGIBILITY FOR TUITION-FREE CLASSES (Textbook deposit still applies - see below)

Distributed Learning courses are offered tuition-free to most BC students including graduated adults. International students from grade 10 to adult may also register. Please see "Fee-Paying Students" section below for specific details on course fees.

Students are eligible to attend classes tuition free if you:
    • are aged 16 as of July 1, 2011 (born after July,1994)
    • are a Canadian Citizen or landed immigrant


COURSE AND TEXTBOOK DEPOSITS

All students must pay a refundable $100 book deposit (where applicable). A refund will be issued upon return of textbook in excellent condition. The deposit will not be refunded if the textbook has been damaged in any manner. Textbooks must be returned within two weeks of the completion of your course, OR by June 15, 2012 in order to have your deposit returned. Textbooks paid by credit card will be refunded to the card. Other payment methods will be refunded by cheque. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure their address is current. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing of cheques. For a speedier refund, we suggest using a credit card.
 

FEE-PAYING STUDENTS

International students and visitors can register for courses provided they have a student visa. Fees and book deposits must be paid at registration as follows: 

4 credit courses - $875 (+ $100 book deposit where applicable)
2 credit courses - $440 (+ $100 book deposit where applicable)

    
REFUNDS & TRANSFERS 

Students wishing to withdraw from a course must complete a course withdrawal form available from the Lucas Centre or here
. If the student is under 19 a parent must sign the form. The course teacher needs to complete and sign the form before any refunds can be made.
